The Parks



Park of Monte Urpinu



22 walkable hectares amidst Aleppo pines, olive trees, holm oaks, mastic trees, carob trees, alaterni, alimi, phillyrea, bagolariums, and Canary Island pines. Mirrors of water welcome turtles, ducks and swans, and in the surrounding areas it is possible to encounter geese. chickens and peacocks

Monte Claro Park



Prco located in the center of town accessed from the central Cadello Street. features an artificial lake that can be crossed via wooden bridges and where turtles, geese and swans can be found. The top of the hill is home to the Provincial Library. Presents playground and dog areas

Terramaini Park



Located in the northern part of Cagliari, it occupies an area of eleven hectares. Its construction is recent compared to other parks in the surrounding area and is home to a variety of botanical species, artificial ponds and budgerigars

St. Michael's Castle

The Beaches



Poetto



With a length of eight kilometers, Poetto extends into the territory of Cagliari and Quartu Sant'Elena. Characterized by soft sand and crystal-clear sea, it stretches from Quartu's Margine Rosso to the popular "Sella del Diavolo," which dominates the Marina Piccola Marina from above. Holy Week



An event permeated by the Spanish influence on the island that, since the 16th century, has seen the streets of the historic center . The tradition kept alive in the heart of Cagliari's historic center streets with evocative rites and celebrations in the historic districts of (Castello, Stampace, Marina and Villanova) with their churches. The celebrations begin on the Friday before Palm Sunday, when the Procession of the Holy Mysteries (Is Misterius) takes place where the 7 statues of the Mysteries present in the Oratory of the Holy Crucifix are carried to 7 different Cagliari churches.

Saint Ephisius



An unmissable date with May 1, marked by the pilgrimage from Cagliari to Pula and back. An event for which the entire center of Stampace and the Marina (home of the little church of Sant'Efisio) is festively dressed with fragrant rose petals, poured on the streets, where traditional Campidano floats (traccas), people in traditional dress from their home country (from all over Sardinia), religious brotherhoods, Campidanese Knights, Militiamen, and the Guardiania parade.
